    I think much has improved in the NHS during Labour's time in office. However it dosn't get the amount of credit for this that it should. It is easy to blame the media (and that would also be fair): it is also true that "bad news" stories seem to make more impact than "good" ones.     My suggestions:- Last Monday in October or 1st Monday in November - could tie in with Autumn half term week, which would particularly help people with school children i.e only having to find child care for 4 days instead of 5.     I would suggest actions like: 1. Big advertises with the budget that is dedicated to the UK army and the budget is dedicated to some very important aspects of the social care; 2. A national remembering day for the every year increase ratio of civil to soldiers deaths on wars; 2. Plant trees as numbers of inocents were killed in, for example, the Iraq war; 3.     Regarding the future of Devonport dockyard. I served in the Royal Navy from 1975 to 1997. I had postings in Portsmouth, Torpoint and Devonport. Throughout that time the bias inside the Navy was always to Portsmouth. One reason is that Portsmouth is closer to London.
