Plymouth Sutton MP Linda Gilroy is asking Plymouthians to help her decide which South Asian restaurant in the City should be nominated in a national competition to find the
best South Asian restaurant in the country.
“I have been asked to make one nomination for the annual Tiffin Cup award. Short listed entrants take part in special cook-in at Bellamy’s Restaurant where the overall
winner for the UK will be found. The winning restaurant gets a year’s supply of Cobra beer as well as the 2008 Tiffin Cup. This year, the event is being held in order to support an
orphanage in India and I want Plymouth to be included in the nominations”
To help Linda decide which restaurant should go forward email her by 25 February 2008 and say in not more than 100 words, which restaurant you are nominating and
why.
“There are some fabulous places to eat in Plymouth, from all cultures, and I would love for them all to win the recognition they deserve, but this is a specific competition for
South Asian cuisine and I look forward to receiving your recommendations”
Emails should be sent to gilroyb@parliament.uk with Tiffin Cup clearly shown in the subject matter.
“If you don’t have access to email don’t worry, drop me a line at the House of Commons, London, SW1 0AA but you need to make sure I receive it by 25 February to be sure it
arrives in time for the deadline.”
