All Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are a froum through which MPs and Peers come together through a common interest in a particular subject or foreign
country.
They allow interaction between parliamentarians regardless of political affiliation; they help to forge links with individuals and organisations outside parliament; and
although, they have no powers or formal role in the development or policy, they nevertheless educate and inform on the subjects concerned.
Typical activites may include breifings with guest speakers, receptions to highlight particular campaigners or causes and trips abroad.
